Best Games to Play

Diablo is an action, role-playing game developed by Blizzard Entertainment. With the launch of Diablo III, it has brought the game to the PS4 and Xbox One platforms. If you simply love this game, then you need to check out this list provided by Buzzle, of other similar games like Diablo.

Do you love battle? Do you enjoy brainteasing strategy games? Then you have definitely heard of Diablo. Age of Empires may have started the trend of role-playing games, but Diablo reinvented it.

Set in the fictional kingdom of Khanduras, the player fights a lone battle against Diablo, the Lord of Terror that rests underneath the catacombs of Tristram. Filled with monsters and the undead, the player journeys through the dungeons underneath the Cathedral to fight Diablo himself, in this epic battle that changed the future forever. Though he succeeds by trapping Diablo in a soulstone and implanting it in his head, evil never rests. The game spawned 2 more sequels, namely, Diablo II, that continues the story of our hero, and Diablo III, which gives a satisfying conclusion to this epic saga.

For those of you who are looking to play the same type, but different games, we give you our pick of the games similar to Diablo.

Games to Play While Camping

Fun games are the main attraction of camping that fascinates kids. Read ahead in this article to get an idea about a few games that might make your camping activity more interesting.

Camping is one of the most liked outdoor recreational activities in the summers. Summer camps give kids an opportunity to explore the outside world, and live in a different world for a few days. But just watching a bonfire and relishing food might make camps boring. So why not plan for some interesting games to make it more memorable for them? These games help the kids learn teamwork and develop confidence.

Games to Play While Camping

Look Up – Look Down
For this simple and interesting game, the kids should be divided into groups of 12-20, and a facilitator should be appointed. Ask all the players to stand in a tight circle. Initially, all the participants should be looking down. The facilitator will instruct the group to either ‘look-up’ or ‘look-down’, as per his choice. When the facilitator yells ‘look-up’, the participants have to look at each other, and once they look at someone, they have to become still (the players cannot change their direction of sight until the next instruction). If they look into the other player’s eyes, then they have to shout at the top of their voice, and the one who shouts last will be out of the game. Repeat this until only two players are left. To decide a winner among the two finalists, a tug of war can be organized.

Popping Balloons
This game requires one balloon for each participant. Before the game begins, the balloons should be inflated by the players and tied to their ankles with a string. The length of the string should not be more than one foot. The appointed facilitator should make it a point that he marks a bounded area for the players. Once the players are ready with the balloon tied at their ankles, ask them to pop the balloons of other players with the help of their feet. They should not forget to protect their own balloon as well. The player whose balloon has been popped should leave the field. The one who survives with the balloon till the end is declared the winner.

Games for Older Kids to Play

For the youth, the main aim of camping is to develop a sense of teamwork in them. Here are some outdoor team building games to play during camps. Apart from learning, these games are a great source of enjoyment as well.

Before starting the game, collect few things that are large in size (the rucksacks of the campers can be used). Divide the participants of the camp into two teams. Define an area for the game, and scatter obstacles in that area. Imagine the area to be a river, and ask the members of one of the teams to become lighthouses in between the obstacles. Blindfold a member (the boat) of the other team, and leave him at the bank of the imaginary river. Now, the task is to direct the boat to cross the river. The instructions are to be given by the members of the 2nd team, by just yelling the direction (east-west-north-south-left-right-back-front). The time taken to cross the river is noted down by the facilitator. The team that finishes first is the winner.

Apple Balancing
Divide the players into two teams, and make them stand in two straight lines. Place a chair in front of the two lines at a distance of 10-12 ft away. Keep an apple on the chair, and give a spoon to the first and second player of each team. The task is to fetch the apple. The apple has to be brought on the spoon and passed on to the next player. One can use hands only for taking the apple from the chair and placing it on the spoon. The team that finishes first gets the apple as a reward.

Outdoor games make camping thrilling and interesting. Make sure that these games are supervised by a facilitator to avoid any kind of mishap. So go ahead and have a gala time!

Crysis 3
EA Games
February 2013Following on the footsteps of its hugely popular predecessors, the third installment of the Crysis series did not disappoint. The graphics, the gameplay, the background score, all are at excellent, and we could not have expected any lesser. What adds to this is the gripping multi-player mode. The multi-player mode in Crysis 3 improve upon that of Crysis 2. The king-of-the-hill modes, Team Deathmatch, Assault, and Capture the Relay are the various modes that you can opt in for as you battle it out with your buddies. The new Hunter Mode is real interesting, and poses quite a challenge even for the seasoned campaigners of the Crysis series.

Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception
November 2011Picking up from where its predecessor left off, Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception follows the adventures of the protagonist – Nathan Drake’s many adventures, on his quest to find lost treasure. The graphics are stunning, exactly what you have come to expect from the series. The gameplay is fluid, and you would feel right at home even if this is the first time you playing a game of the series. The many multi-player levels are very well thought out, and really challenge your skills. In fact, the multi-player mode is where this highly addictive game truly excels, and makes it one of the best multi-player games, even 2 years since its release.

Metal Gear Solid: Peacewalker HD Edition
August 2012Building up on the success of the hugely popular Metal Gear Solid game for PSP, this game had some rather large shoes to fill in. The story follows on similar lines as on its PSP sibling, and talks about Naked Snake a.k.a. Big Boss as he tries to restore peace in Costa Rica, as it is ravaged by a mysterious armed force. The multi-player mode lets you take over as Big Boss, and his accomplices to fight their way through Costa Rica. The game requires for players to work together as a team, as they progress through the many complex levels. The game is loads of fun, and there is barely a dull moment right through it.

Mass Effect 3
Electronic Arts
March 2012The last part of the popular Mass Effect series, Mass Effect 3 delivers the same punch, and entertainment as the earlier two parts. Set in the distant future, this sci-fi game has a fantastic storyline, complement by some breathtaking visuals, which will have you rubbing your eyes in disbelief. The gameplay too is by far one of the best around. The unique thing about this game is that it is truly active, which means that the choices you make through the game affects the storyline. The online multi-player mode is one of the games strong points, and you get to choose from one of six six classes, each beautifully laid out, and posing their own unique challenges.

Borderland 2
2K Games
September 2012A sequel to the hugely successful Borderland, this second installment of the series, builds on the success of the former, and in fact outdoes its predecessors in many aspects. Although the game doesn’t bring anything new to the table in terms of characters, or game play, it further works on the plot created by the first game of the series. The four main characters from the first part of the series are back, and this time they have many other characters for company. The storyline is excellent, and the transitions in the game are seamless. In the multi-player mode, now you have a split screen view, where you can compete with other players online, and even trade with them. Endless hours of entertainment guaranteed!

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2
November 2012Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is the sequel to the commercial hit, Black Ops, and is the ninth game of the COD franchise. Apart from the old characters, the game also features a lot of new characters, and tons of cool weapons, and powerups.

Burnout Paradise
Electronic Arts
September 2010Everyone of us (some openly admit it, and some don’t!), at some point in life has wanted to zip past the traffic, and take down a few ‘opponents’ in the process. While there might not be a safe way of doing this on the streets, you can definitely do all that, and a lot more, but with your PS3 joystick. Just when you thought the Burnout series couldn’t get any better, Burnout Paradise comes along, and changes all that. The game brings in all the thrills of the rides from the previous installments of Burnout, and throws in even more thrilling rides, race tracks, and challenges into the mix, making it arguably one of the best Burnout games of all time. The multi-player mode takes the gameplay to a whole new level, with impressive graphics, seamless transitions between the screens, and a well designed split-screen layout.

Demon’s Souls
February 2009This one is definitely not for the faint-hearted. Demon’s Souls is a dark game, with an excellent story line, and real strong characters that are bound to draw you in. Each characters has its own special moves, and powers, as they battle on with the dark forces. The different worlds that can be accessed through the ‘nexus’ are wonderfully laid out, and will definitely transport you into another dimension altogether. The multi-player mode is just as nice, and adds to the challenges of this addictive, and hard-to-beat game.

Red Dead Redemption
Rockstar Games
May 2010Take a trip to the wild west, strutting along in the shoes of John Marston, as he takes down the bad guys. What makes this game very different from other games in this category is the fact that you aren’t restricted to just carrying out the missions (very engaging ones if I may add) that come your way, but you can also take up the optional missions which can help you earn rewards, and weapons. The town, Armadillo, is beautifully portrayed, and is very detailed, and well laid out. The multi-player mode too has a sizable chunk of missions, where you can choose to challenge your opponents at various missions, or simply get into a brawl with them.

Killzone 3
February 2011Want to experience being in a futuristic battlefield, with gunfire all around sans the real danger? Then Killzone 3 is just the perfect game for you. The third of the Killzone franchise brings in even better visuals, maps, characters, along with the superior game play. The game is a wonderful marriage of strategy and action, and will definitely get you hooked on in no time. The multi-player mode has plenty of maps, each with their own set of challenges. The graphics are splendid, but are let down with the low frame rate that the game supports. All-in-all though, with a perfect balance of the Killzone experience, coupled with real intuitive controls, and breathtaking visuals, and we have a winner on our hands.
